Biography
Francis Cottrell, fils de Nicholas Cottrell et de Lydia Kinnie, est né le 10 mai 1787 à Worthington Massachusetts. Il a été rebaptisé le 28 avril 1827 à l'église de St-Barthélemy anglican de Nicolet. Françis Cottrell s'est marié à Sarah Allen, fille d'Aaron et de Catherine Rowse le 1 décembre à l'église Christ-Church à Sorel (1).Francis Cottrell écuier âgé de 68 ans décédé à Compton à Eastern dans les Township. Inhumé dans le vieux cimetière protestant de Sorel le 4 février 1855. Les témoins sont Georges H Cottrell son fils et Aaron A Allen son gendre. Son corps a été transféré dans le nouveau cimetière anglican. Section 25 lot 12 allée 4 Dans un contrat E Tucker et C F C Würtele avocat avec le Révérend Irwin le 21 septembre 1910. «Le vieux cimetière de la cité de Sorel doit déplacer les monuments de pierres et les corps par Pierre Paul entrepreneur de pompes funèbres». Les corps ont été déménagés dans le nouveau cimetière tout près du Mont St-Bernard (Polyvalente Fernande Lefebvre).
