Biography
George Henry Rowse ou Rouse fermier et loyaliste, né vers 1750 à Greenbush Albany New-York, fils de Johan Casper Rowse et Anna Catharina Kuntz, marié à Christina Catherine Shibley le 10 octobre 1773 à Rensselaer New-York. Georges H. Rowse était un loyaliste. Il est arrivé avec sa famille à William Henry(Sorel) avec le régiment du Duc de Brunswick le 12 mars 1786. On lui a été concédé le lot 40 sur le chemin de Saint-Ours le 1 décembre 1795 par son Excellence le très Honorable Lord Dorchester.
Necrology
George Henry Rowse est décédé le 13 octobre 1832 âgé de 85 ans. Son épouse est décédée le 27 avril 1847 à Sorel. Ils étaient inhumés tous les deux dans le vieux cimetière protestant situé sur la rue Charlotte à Sorel. En 1911, les corps furent déplacés dans la section 23 lot 19 dans le cimetière protestant situé sur la rue du Collège à Sorel.
