Biography
Léon Ferron né le 5 septembre 1894 à St-Pierre de Sorel, fils de Claude Ferron et de Sophie Vigneault, marié à Eva Champigny le 11 septembre 1922 à St-Jude.
Il étudiait au Mont-St-Bernard à Sorel. Monsieur Ferron travaillait chez C.O. Paradis à Sorel. Il fondait le magasin Chez Léon. Il était chef du bureau d’emploi de Marine Industrie. Il a créé la Société Histoire de Sorel et le Musée Historique de Sorel en 1926. Il y ramassait une collection considérable d’artéfacts. Il était grand chevalier du conseil 1132 des Chevaliers de Colomb de Sorel et membre des Marchands Détaillants du Canada. Il est décédé le 13 février et inhumé le 17 février 1969 au Cimetière des Sts-Anges à Sorel.
