Harriet Jones conjointe d'Edward Carter Allen professeur mariée le 2 janvier 1825 au Christ-Church à Sorel. John Kent Welles agent seigneurial de William Henry était présent à leur mariage. Allen était enseignant de l'école qui se tenait alors sous l'institution royale à Sorel. Il était instituteur de l'école dissidente de Sorel et digne à un haut degré de la confiance et l'estime dont il est entouré en 1861. Présent à l'enterrement Aaron Allen et James Jones.
