Biography
La chapelle des Cuthbert est dans un état déplorable.
Tous les ouvrages en bois de l'intérieur sont disparus.
Deux anciennes gravures nous font voir d'abord une chaire
qui était appuyée sur le mur nord du temple et une plaque fixe
sur le mur est. De la chaire il existe encore la trace sur le mur,
quant a l'abat-voix il git dans un coin. De la plaque on voit
aussi la trace, mais il parait qu'on l'a transporté dans une autre
chapelle récemment élevée par les familles protestantes de la
localité.
Le texte de cette plaque se lisait comme suit :
" James Cuthbert esq. Only son of the Hon. Ross Cuth-
bert, Seigneur of Lanoraie and Dautrie, Died 30th March
1842
Aged 42 years
Blessed are the merciful
For they shall obtain mercy
Blessed are the pure in heart
For they shall see God."
