Alida Van Alan née vers 1745 à Albany New York, fille de Cornelis et Alida Lydia Pruyn, mariée au Major Peter Van Alstyne loyaliste, fils de Sander et Elbertje Van Alen, le 23 juin 1764 à New York États-Unis. En 1783, la famille quitte New York pour un camp de réfugiés loyalistes à Sorel. Elle est décédée le 3 août 1784 à Sorel. Alida Van Alan conjointe du major Peter Alstyne était la première à être inhumée dans le cimetière protestant du vieux domaine des invalides loyalistes à Sorel.
