Biography
Duncan Wilkie fermier né vers 1816 à Musselbourg en Écosse, est marié avec Elisabeth Noble vers 1847 en Écosse. Il arrive avec sa femme et ses 4 enfants Robert, Asa Bell, Dunkin et James au Canada en 1859. Il s'établissait sur une terre dans le rang nord de la rivière Richelieu. Robert Harrower lui a vendu une terre à Duncan Wilkie à Sorel le 14 mars 1863. Ils ont perdu un fils James décédé à l'âge de 3 ans le 1 décembre et inhumé le 5 décembre dans le vieux cimetière sur la rue Charlottte.
Duncan Wilkie est décédé le 6 octobre et inhumé le 7 octobre 1864 dans le vieux cimetière de la rue Charlotte. Sa veuve Elisabeth se remariait au veuf Walter Dawson brasseur le 21 novembre 1871 a Christ-Church à Sorel.
