Samson Buttery maître brasseur, né vers 1786 en Angleterre, marié à Ann Wilkinson vers 1810, il arrivait avec sa femme et ses enfants à bord du vapeur le Québec de la compagnie St-Lawrence Steam Boat au port de Montréal pour Sorel en 1825.
